I received what I believe is a Sempervivum arachnoideum from Plants for Pets January 29, 2026. They didn't label the individual plants but it seems to be similar to the arachnoideum "Val Miniera" variety at Mountain Crest. If it is similar, this is what I can expect:
"This rosette stays small and compact with a thick coating of cottony wool. It produces lots of offsets and eventually develops into an impressive, dense colony."
Arachnoideum (unknown #1), Feb. 10, 2026.

I also found a little webbed ball in the shipping box. I have it in the warmth of my house, hoping it is alive and will root. I am presuming it fell out of the arachnoideum pot, but the webbing and even the shape look different.

Care Guide: Sempervivums need at least six hours of outdoor sunlight to show their best colors and maintain a tight rosette form, but may need to be shaded during the hottest part of the day. They thrive in gritty, well-draining soils and pots with drainage holes. They need to be allowed to dry out completely between waterings to avoid root rot. Sempervivums are very cold-hardy perennials, with the similar arachnoideum rated for Zone 5, -20F.
