Sempervivum - A cold-hardy group of succulent plants known for their rosette-shaped leaves and propagation through offsets. Also known as "Hens & Chicks" for the central rosette (hen) surrounded by offsets (chicks). These chicks can be left to form tidy clusters or removed to share and transplant. After the hen flowers in about three years, it will die, leaving the chicks to take over. The following varieties currently were located in the greenhouse, although I had to pull six of them out (#1-3 and #8-10) after they were frost damaged. My theory is they weren't quite dry enough to prove their hardiness.
